The deal, in plain words.

You need an account to use the studio, and you confirm your email address before it becomes active. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under your login, so keep your password to yourself.

You can close your account at any time. Closing it ends your membership and anything that depends on an active membership, including commissions — see section 6.

A studio membership costs $9.95 per month. It renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your billing page.

Your membership includes 700 credits each month. Credits are how the studio charges for the work it does — pictures, songs, video. Monthly credits are refreshed at each renewal and do not stack up month to month.

If you cancel, you keep everything you have already made, and you keep any credits you bought outright.

Every member gets an invite link. If somebody joins through your link, you are their sponsor, and you earn 25% of what they pay for their membership, every month, for as long as they stay subscribed. On today’s $9.95 membership that is $2.48 a month, for every member you bring in, month after month.

That 25% stays 25% even if the price changes. If the membership price ever goes up or down, your share moves with it. It is a share of the price, not a fixed number of dollars, and we will not quietly reduce the percentage.

Your commission comes out of the site owner’s share of that membership. Nobody pays more because they were referred, the member you brought in loses nothing, and their own commissions are untouched.

You earn on the people who joined through your own link. This is one level deep, not a chain: you are not paid on the people they go on to invite.

Like every commission here, these are earned while your own membership is active — see section 6 — and are paid the way section 7 describes.

Products in the marketplace have a base price — a fixed amount per item that the platform collects to cover making it and shipping it. That base price is stated up front and does not change with what you charge.

You set your own selling price above the base. Everything above the base price is commission, and it is split 70% to you as the seller and 30% to your sponsor — the member whose link brought you here.

Your sponsor’s 30% is paid beside your share, never out of it. Your 70% is identical whether or not anyone sponsored you. Having a sponsor never costs you money.

If a sale has no sponsor, that 30% goes to the site owner, Darrell McCutchen. The platform takes the base price it stated up front and nothing more — anything left over is Darrell’s, not an extra platform fee that appears when there is nobody to pay.

Credit packs and top-ups pay no commission to anyone. If somebody you referred buys credits, neither you nor your sponsor earns anything from it. Credits are bought at close to what they cost us to provide, so there is no margin in them to share. This is enforced in our system, not left to judgement.

You cannot be your own sponsor.

You earn commissions while your own membership is active. An active membership is a condition of earning them — not a separate rule applied afterwards. This is the part most worth reading twice, so here it is in full.

While your membership is active, commissions accrue on your account and are paid out as described in section 7.

If your membership stops being active, you have 15 days from the date it ended to start it again. During those 15 days, anything you have earned and not yet been paid stays on your account, exactly as it was. Restart your membership inside the window and nothing is affected — it is paid out normally.

If your membership is still not active at the end of those 15 days, the un-paid commissions on your account stop being earned and will not be paid. Commissions we have already paid you are yours and are not affected.

We will tell you, in writing, three times. We email you when your membership lapses, again at day 7, and again at day 14. Every one of those emails names the exact date your un-paid commissions stop being earned and tells you what is on your account. We do not close a balance without having sent you that final notice.

The clock runs from the date your membership was paid through. If you have never held a membership and have earned commissions anyway, the same 15 days run from the date you first earned them.

Commissions are paid as a credit against your own next invoice. They reduce what you owe us. You do not need your own payment account, you do not need to invoice us, and there is nothing to claim.

A credit is applied once your un-paid balance reaches $1.00. Below that it simply carries forward to the next time. Amounts smaller than a whole cent are never rounded away either — they stay on your balance and roll into the next payout.

If a sale is refunded or charged back, the commission on that sale is reversed if it has not already been paid to you.

You keep ownership of what you make. By listing something on your shop page you are asking us to sell and fulfil it on your behalf, and you confirm you have the right to sell it — that it is yours, or that you are allowed to use everything in it.

We can decline or remove a listing that breaks the law, infringes someone else’s rights, or does not fit this site. If that happens we will tell you why.

These terms carry a version number, shown at the top of this page. If we change them, the version changes with them, so what you agreed to on the day you signed up stays on record as the wording you were actually shown.
